I recently got a hold of the free samples from Monat. I wasn’t really paying much attention to it because I always get free samples in the mail, I mean a lot of us do. I dig free samples because it’s free. Seriously, I dig it because I like to try the product before I run to the store and purchase it. These samples in a very weird way, reminds me of the Philippines. I grew up in the province, in the mountains where my grandparents lived. Even when I was living with my parents and siblings, we still lived in an area away from the city. Life was simple, fruits and vegetables could be pulled out of our own garden at the back of the house. I remember swimming and taking a bath in the river close to my grandparents house while my grandmother washes our clothes. She would always bring with her a toiletry tub. Inside we’re the laundry soap, brush, safeguard which is the only soap we use when we take a bath and a sachet of shampoo. My grandma would buy a dozen sachet of shampoo only to tear one sachet to be used every time someone wants to shower.
The day for me to use these has finally arrived and that day was today. I jumped into shower feeling excited like I always do when I get free samples. I first opened the revive shampoo and the first thing I noticed was the smell. It’s hard to describe how it smelled like. It smelled like herbs but a little fruity but also very subtle. I washed my hair thoroughly using the shampoo and I felt that it really cleaned by hair. The formulation of this shampoo is certainly different from the ones that we can buy in our local grocery stores. Most of them are very bubbly, strong smelling and will keep your hair soft most of the day but this Monat shampoo was gentle yet I felt like it really was able to clean my hair. When you first use it, you would think that it may not be as good as your usual shampoo but after washing and rinsing your hair, you would absolutely feel the difference. I then used the conditioner that came with the pack and man was it great. It smelled really good and was moisturizing my hair. After shower, I usually dry my hair with a hair towel and leave it on my head for a few minutes and then air dry my hair. I felt the silkyness of my hair all day after my first time of using this conditioner. I used the hair oil and the hair masque the next days and I was really satisfied with their result.
I immediately looked it up online because I want to buy some because after using these goodies, I was totally convinced that they are good for me. I was excited to buy some but then I was disappointed when I learned how much each of them costs. Man, they were expensive. At least for me, they are expensive and I cannot afford to buy these babies but if you are the person who can afford to buy these luxury hair products, by all means please buy. They are really good, made from natural ingredients, the fragrance was subtle and was really great on my hair. I highly recommend these to those who wants to pamper themselves without worrying the bills.
As for me, I am just glad to have tried these wonderful products and hopefully will try them again in the future.
